In the dark she sits in it all on her own
Waiting for a peace she has never known
With no way out she has no way to cope Her life is darkened by doubt she has no hope
Screaming in silence with the pain in her heart
Her life no longer bound it will fall apart
The world around her can not see the agony
Nor does it hear her desperate plea for sanity
So she will wait until she is set free from her cage
So she shall no longer endure the pain and its rage
But like a flickering flame her light will go out
Then how will she ever escape this life full of doubt
Her spark grows dimmer by each passing of the day
Still she smiles at all of us and we all think she will stay
I’m not sure why she fights this battle in such secret
For in the end it will only lead to much regret
But no matter the cost she will always fight on
That is till we finally notice she’s gone
